Our Hiring Process: A Comprehensive Approach to Finding the Right Fit
At CarData, Inc., we take a meticulous approach to hiring the best candidates for our team. Our process is designed to ensure that we find individuals who not only have the necessary skills and experience but also align with our company culture and values.
Step 1: Job Posting and Application Collection
We start by posting job ads on Indeed and other third-party sites, providing detailed information about the position and requirements. Interested applicants submit their applications through our BambooHR platform.
Step 2: Initial Screening
Our hiring manager reviews each application, assessing relevant experience and ensuring that preliminary questions have been answered satisfactorily. This initial screening helps us identify top candidates who will move on to the next stage.
Step 3: Video and Secondary Questions
Selected applicants receive an email with a YouTube video that must be watched and a set of secondary preliminary questions. This step allows us to further evaluate candidates’ knowledge, skills, and fit for the role.
Step 4: Location Verification
We check the applicants’ addresses to ensure they are within a reasonable driving distance (less than 45 minutes) from the area we are hiring for. This step is crucial in ensuring that our team members can easily commute to work.
Step 5: Shadow Day Invitation
Remaining applicants receive an email with details of our paid shadow day program, requesting their availability. Once they respond, our hiring manager sends a Google Calendar invite with all the necessary details.
Step 6: In-Person Interviews (Shadow Days)
Our local managers conduct in-person interviews, known as shadow days, where candidates spend a day working with our team. This hands-on approach allows us to assess their skills and fit in a real-world setting.
Step 7: Ongoing Evaluation
Shadow days continue until our local manager is confident in offering a position to the selected candidate, pending background and drug testing. We prioritize finding the right candidate over rushing the process, ensuring that our Potential team members (applicants) are fully paid for their time during the shadow days.
Step 8: Commitment
CarData, Inc. provides comprehensive hands on training to ALL of our Team Members. This comes with costs that we expect to be paid back IF you complete the training & leave within 6 Months after being fully trained. So we really want potential team members to think twice before signing our offer letter that they are committed to the career and the process.
